Bulldogs Read This Summer!

This year, we are ensuring Clayton READS at Home by selecting free eBooks for our Summer Reading suggestions! 

Students who read a variety of books each day of the summer are better prepared for the new school year. Ensure your child is reading at least 30 minutes a day all summer long!

Complete each step below to ensure your child is ready to read this summer!

Step 1: Click the reading list below that matches the grade level your child is entering next school year. Follow the instructions on the list to request access to the eBook library.

    Grades 6-8  


STEP 2:  Click the page below to view and print the Summer Reading Challenges. Return the completed Summer Reading Challenges to your Media Specialist in August.


Step 3: After reading, elementary and middle school students can “show what they know” by taking an Accelerated Reader quiz at . Students using Accelerated Reader for the first time can e-mail for support.

More Reading Options The digital libraries below are available this summer to provide even more reading choices. Accelerated Reader quizzes are available for most of the books featured in these libraries.

TumbleBook Library (, click TumbleBook Library): The Clayton County Public Library provides access to TumbleBook Library, a collection of hundreds of ebooks including animated picture books, read-along chapter books, videos, and more.
